In Community Lawyering, offered on site in Seattle from July 29th - 31st (there is no online component), participants again encounter a legal aid

relevant case study. In it they work with an emerging community group to craft a demand and create a multi- tactic, multi-forum advocacy campaign to reach their clients' goals. Participants learn the basics of the other advocacy disciplines they will encounter when working in a multi-tactic broad based advocacy campaign - strategic framing, communications and media; organizing; policy advocacy; institution building; leadership development and transactional lawyering for community groups.
