For the Professional Development of Attorneys in Silicon Valley and Beyond
Domestic Violence Restraining Order 101
This is the first in a series of trainings designed to assist attorneys who want to provide pro bono services to become trained in the areas most needed by our local legal service agencies. This first training, presented by the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley, is geared toward licensed attorneys interested in representing either petitioners or respondents in domestic violence restraining order hearings. No prior experience in family law or criminal law is required. After the training, attorneys will be able to assist clients in obtaining or responding to restraining orders in domestic violence situations. The training is open to all attorneys; however, attorneys who volunteer to take a restraining order case in the next year can attend the training at no charge. To attend the training at no charge, you must contact Angie Loyola mailto: angiel@sccba.com. All other attorneys, please see the pricing and registration below.
Free parking is available at the training location. Lunch will be provided.
