Join us for the second program in the "Power of Partnership" quarterly series co–presented by the Craigslist Foundation, the Foundation Center, CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, and Northern California Grantmakers. This free series will showcase successful models of collaboration, with an emphasis on lessons learned, pitfalls to avoid, and networking. Refreshments will be provided.

In honor of National Arts and Humanities Month this October we will take an in–depth look at the "Big List," a joint database of arts organizations' subscribers and supporters, and how San Francisco has become one of several cities around the country where arts organizations have shared their proprietary marketing lists to increase their sustainability. The "Big List" project has been funded by The Wallace Foundation, The San Francisco Foundation and Grants for the Arts and managed by Theater Bay Area in an effort to match if not exceed the success of other urban centers. We will take a look at how this project began, the challenges that arose, and how the participating nonprofits were able to change their mind sets from being competitive to collaborative.

Panelists include:

Janet Camarena, The Foundation Center
Brad Erickson, Executive Director, Theatre Bay Area
Clay Lord, Marketing and Advertising Manager, Theatre Bay Area
Kary Schulman, Director, Grants for the Arts
