Introduction to Special Education Law
In California, approximately 11% of all students are in Special Education programs. This training will give you an overview of the relevant state and federal laws and will help you develop a basic understanding of Special Education law. We will discuss various ways to enforce the rights of students with disabilities, including filing a compliance complaint and a due process hearing request. Finally, we will discuss practical tools for effective advocacy on behalf of this population.
