Almost half of all foster youth have diagnosed disabilities. Aging out of care without a family and safety net, and a desire to enter adulthood without the stigma of the "foster care" and "disability" labels presents special challenges to youth and those who work to support them. This training focuses on what CIL' need to know to connect with youth aging/aged out of care, and encourage their participation in the disability community more effectively.
