EQUAL ACCESS FUND EVALUATION TOOLKIT

CHAMPIONS AND OTHER RESOURCES

Many people have contributed to this toolkit.  All of them, along with many other resources, are available to help legal services programs create effective ways to evaluation their work.

General Assistance Regarding Evaluation and the Equal Access Fund

Legal Services Trust Fund Program Grants Administrators can provide general assistance and support.  In addition, they have information about what evaluations are being done by other legal services programs and can help create connections between programs with similar challenges and/or similar plans.

Denise Teraoka                         415-538-2545              denise.teraoka@calbar.ca.gov

Daniel Passamaneck                   415-528-2403              daniel.passamaneck@calbar.ca.gov

Legal Aid Association of California (LAAC) and its staff are fully engaged in improving evaluation of Equal Access Fund projects and preparing the report to the Legislature.  LAAC, too, can identify other legal services programs doing the same kind of work, and its Director will be creating working groups to provide information and mutual support.

Administrative Office of the Courts, Center for Families, Children & the Courts can provide valuable assistance regarding research techniques, including tailored advice about evaluation legal services.  This expert assistance will also be available through small working groups that will be created and sponsored by LAAC.
