This Bill would ensure that California maximizes its use of federal funds to support children leaving foster care to be cared for by a relative guardian, and to provide foster-care support for youth ages 18 to 21, just as a parent would provide support.

An act to add Section 11401.05 to, to add Article 4.7 (commencing with Section 11385) to, and to repeal Article 4.5 (commencing with Section 11360) of, Chapter 2 of Part 3 of Division 9 of, the Welfare and Institutions Code, relating to foster children.
