All of us at CANHR are deeply saddened by the loss of life and the destruction resulting from Hurricane Katrina. Many nursing home residents lost their lives in the storm and subsequent flooding, and thousands more were evacuated far from their homes and families. Following are some resources for displaced nursing home residents and their family members.
