Please note that the last package of estate recovery regulations was
released today with some changes to the May 2006 draft version.
Although the published notice does not include the appropriate dates,
comments will be due by December 15. These are the regulations that
cancel the recovery from life estates and that is a good thing.
However, there are still a number of problems with the requirements for
a disabled child of a deceased beneficiary. Please get your comments
in. We need to let the Department know of our concerns.
