Free resident rights trainings to be held

CANHR's Residents Rights Enforcement Project has scheduled two training dates for nursing home resident advocates.
The first training will be held in Pacific Grove (near Monterey) at the Meals on Wheels Senior Center at 700 Jewel Avenue on February 22,
2007 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M.
The second training will be held in Bakersfield (location T.B.A.) on March 2, 2007 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M.
Both of the trainings will cover the state and federal rights of nursing home residents and methods for enforcing those rights.
Particular attention will be paid to civil litigation options and the problems of nursing home eviction cases. Training is FREE to members of legal services organizations, Ombudsman programs, or other resident advocates. CLE credit is available.
