The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services have released the community spouse resource allowances (CSRA) and the maximum monthly maintenance needs allowance for 2008. The new minimum CSRA is$20,880 and the new maximum is$104,400. The new maximum monthly maintenance needs allowance is$2,610.

The new figures are effective January 1, 2008, and reflect an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 2.8 percent from September 2006 to September 2007.
