MTO FELLOWS PROGRAM

Friday, February 08, 2008

  • Organization: Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP

Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP believes that increasing diversity within the legal profession is essential to fulfilling the laws promise within society. As part of our ongoing effort toward promoting diversity within the legal profession, we are pleased to announce the MTO Fellows Program, which will offer up to four full-time paid positions in our Los Angeles office to recent college graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the law.

The MTO Fellows Program offers recent college graduates the opportunity to receive valuable training and experience in a prestigious national law firm before attending law school. MTOs talented attorneys and staff have enabled us to develop into what The American Lawyer described as the elite litigation shop on the West Coastand the only California firm to rank consistently at or near the top of the list for the breadth, depth and quality of its practice.

MTO Fellows will work closely with attorneys and paralegals on the full range of matters the firm handles, and will have the opportunity to receive mentoring and participate in a wide range of educational activities. The MTO Fellows Program is designed to introduce recent college graduates to the practice of law at the highest level, with the aim of helping Fellows develop the
skills necessary to succeed in law school and later as members of the legal profession.

Positions in the MTO Fellows Program will be offered to exceptional candidates who show the potential to contribute meaningfully to the diversity of the legal profession, including, but not limited to, candidates who are members of racial or ethnic minority groups, are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, are physically challenged, or are from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.

MTO Fellows are expected to work in our Los Angeles office for a period of one year. Fellows will be eligible to receive a stipend to enroll in an LSAT preparation course and work on a flexible or reduced time basis during the time they prepare for the LSAT.
