DRLC Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Los Angeles County Jails

The DRLC, ACLU, Heller Ehrman LLP and Hadsell Stormer Keeny Richardson & Renick LLP filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles County alleging systemic civil rights violations against people with disabilities in Los Angeles County Jails. The suit alleges that there are widespread and pervasive violations related to classification, housing, access to programs and services, accommodations, medical services, and physical access barriers within the Los Angeles County Jail system for people with disabilities.
