Good morning! Two new sets of charts on adult protective services (APS) laws are now available. These charts were prepared for the National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) by the ABA Commission on Law and Aging (ABA Commission).
You may access the charts directly from the ABA Commission's elder abuse Web page (http://www.abanet.org/aging/about/elderabuse.shtml or go to the ABA Commission's home page, www.abanet.org/aging and then click on the "Elder Abuse" tab on the page's left side). You also will be able to access them through the NCEA website (http://www.ncea.aoa.gov/NCEAroot/Main_Site/Find_Help/APS/Analysis_State_Laws.aspx) soon.
These charts address: (1) Types of Abuse and (2) Threshold Eligibility Criteria. For each topic, there is at least one chart and an explanation of the chart(s).
More charts and resources will be available soon, and will be announced on the listserve.
