Dear Colleagues:

The Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law is pleased to announce that the updated 2008 edition of, "Assisting the Limited-Income Client in Family Law Matters," is now available for purchase.

The book is a comprehensive guide that covers everything you need to help clients with basic family law matters, including step-by-step instructions for:

• Dissolution
• Paternity
• Child Custody and Visitation
• Child and Spousal Support
• Domestic Violence Restraining Orders
• Simple Division of Property

The manual explains in detail how to prepare pleadings such as fee waiver applications, petitions, OSCs, and judgments, with up-to-date sample forms. While it is directed to limited-income litigants and default procedures, the text also serves as a general practice primer, and is an essential time-saving tool, for family law attorneys, paralegals, and office personnel.

For more than 26 years our nonprofit family law center has provided legal assistance to disadvantaged families in Los Angeles. In the course of our work we have prepared a thorough reference tool. It covers a wide range of contingencies and steps needed to address the family law issues that occur in our practice. This publication is the same one used by the attorneys and volunteers of the Harriett Buhai Center. It is the product of more than a quarter century of family law practice, and has taken thousands of hours of research and refinement, in order to assure that it is comprehensive, easy to follow, up-to-date, and accurate.

To order today, please call us at (213) 388-7505 ext 399 or email us at publications @hbcfl.org. The rate for non-profits and govt programs is $95 including shipping. There is a limited supply of 2008 manuals left.
