Registered Legal Services Attorney Program

Non-California attorneys can register to work in California as a legal services attorney as part of the State Bar's Multijurisdictional Practice Program. A registered attorney may practice for no more than a total of three years under California Rules of Court, rule 9.45. If the attorney expects to practice in legal services longer, s/he must pass the California bar exam.
