LAAC UPDATE

As you know, LAAC has worked with the Legal Services Trust Fund Program in its revision of the IOLTA Rules. The proposed draft has been submitted to the Board of Governors, and there is currently a Public Comment period with a deadline of January 19, 2009.

The draft rules are responsive to all of the concerns that LAAC raised on behalf of programs during this process. We are pleased with the outcome, and our only comment will be a letter thanking the Trust Fund Program for the inclusive process and supporting the changes.
