Today, Governor Schwarzenegger released two proposals for closing the budget gap that has emerged since the February budget agreement. The first proposal, which assumes voters approve Propositions 1C, 1D, and 1E in next week's special election, includes "solutions" to close a $15.4 billion budget gap. The second proposal assumes these ballot measures fail, and outlines "solutions" to close a budget gap that would grow to $21.3 billion. A new CBP analysis provides a quick summary of these budget proposals. The CBP will release a longer analysis of these proposals soon.
