- Organization: National Housing Law Project
A message from the National Housing Law Project on a Foreclosure training this coming Wednesday, June 30:
Hi everyone,
I'm hosting a training for our summer law clerks at our office this Wednesday, June 30, at 1 p.m that covers issues concerning tenants in foreclosure. It will be a basic training that covers the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act, California state law protections for tenants in foreclosure, and local just cause for eviction controls. I will also go over the proposed amendments to the PTFA in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that is expected to pass this week.
Space permitting, you are welcome to join us in person at our office, and teleconference capabilities are also available if it's more convenient to join by phone. While this training is targeted primarily at summer law clerks, attorneys are also welcome to attend. If you're interested in attending, either in person or via phone, please let me know.
