NEW Form for Initial Filing under the Nonprofit Integrity Act!

Tuesday, July 19, 2005

The Nonprofit Integrity Act requires California nonprofit corporations to register with the Attorney General within 30 days after initially receiving assets. (Many organizations are unaware of this requirement and there is currently no penalty for filing late).

The form for this initial filing has changed (as reported by Mike Miyama at the CA Department of Justice).

PLEASE NOTE: The Ct-1 Form is no longer being used as of July 1, 2005. In place of the Ct-1 Form, the CA Department of Justice has replaced the Ct-1 Form with a checklist which can be accessed as a PDF download at their website, http://caag.state.ca.us/charities/forms/charitable/reg_form_checklist_05.pdf.
